What do you pay attention to when you book a hotel? During our visit to Dusseldorf we spent the night in hotel Voco Dusseldorf Seestern.
? Here are 5 points I pay attention to when I book a hotel and how I experienced it during our stay:
- Price.
The price for a hotel room for two people is between € 78 and € 134 per night, but this can vary. - Hotel room.
We had a spacious 60 m2 suite, consisting of a hotel room and a living room. The hotel room had a king size bed, a view over the city, a bathroom with toilet, shower and bath.
What impressed me the most was the beautiful spacious living room with comfortable sofa, flat screen TV and dining area. There was also a separate toilet. That’s nice!
3. Location.
The hotel is located in the Loerick district, an urban district in Dusseldorf, 4 km away from the old town (Altstadt). You can easily travel to the city center by tram/metro.
4. Public transportation.
The Am Seestern tram/bus stop is just around the corner from the hotel.
5. Friendly staff.
We were warmly welcomed by the staff. Delicious fresh fruit was waiting for us in the room.
Bonus point:
- Breakfast.
We had a wonderful breakfast at the breakfast buffet in the breakfast room on the first floor.
Point of improvement:
- The restaurant on the ground floor is more of a lounge bar where you can have a bite to eat. A vegetarian/vegan choice in the menu would be nice. Our preference was to have a cozy dinner in Dusseldorf city.
Last point, but not the least important:
- I slept well in the hotel.
