Striking Interiors
As soon as you step into Space Home Hostel, you’ll be greeted by a futuristic atmosphere. Inspired by Japanese sleeping capsules, the hostel features innovative pod-style sleeping arrangements. These pods not only provide a sense of privacy but also contribute to the futuristic ambiance. Each pod is equipped with modern amenities, including charging outlets, a reading light, and cozy bedding, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay.
A cozy lounge welcomes you with relaxing seating. The bathroom has clean sinks and mirrors. There are separate toilets for men and women, and two showers for your convenience. You can store your belongings safely in the lockers, each with a key. This is the simple but comfortable setup that awaits you at Space Apartments in Vienna.
Stellar Location
Located in the lively Prater district, Space Home Hostel benefits from a prime location. With the iconic Prater Park a short walk away, you can enjoy relaxing walks or even experience the thrill of the famous Prater Ferris Wheel. The proximity to public transport makes exploring Vienna’s cultural and historical sights, such as the Hofburg Palace or Belvedere, a breeze.

My Experience at Space Apartments in Vienna
I spent a night at Space Apartments, and it was a great experience. The interior has a cool vibe, and the pods truly give you the sensation of being in a space capsule. Ideal for solo travelers, but if you are with others, it is still a comfortable place. There are also double pods.
The bathroom and toilets are clean. Despite all ten pods being occupied, it was still relatively quiet, especially at night with the earplugs available. It may be a good idea to choose the top capsule. Initially I experienced a bit of dust-related throat irritation, possibly due to the proximity to the ground.
Check-out was at 10 am, and the option to leave your luggage in the locker until 6 pm is a bonus for those who want to explore Vienna more.
A Futuristic Stay in Vienna
The futuristic pods, clean facilities, and the feeling of being in a space capsule made it truly remarkable. Whether you’re a solo traveler or with others, it’s an accommodation worth trying for its unique touch. Just remember your earplugs for a sound sleep in your space cocoon!
