Where are the flower bikes in Amsterdam? You can find them at the flower bike route in Amsterdam West. In my video I will take you along the route and show you the beautiful flower bikes in Amsterdam West. Let the journey begin.
You’ve probably seen them too, those beautiful flower bikes made by Warren Gregory, better known as the Flower Bike Man. His colorful flower bikes are scattered all over Amsterdam and sometimes you really have to look to find one of the flower bikes.
This search is no longer necessary, because the FlowerPower West has started the flower bike route since January 2023, a cheerful tour along the flower bikes of the Flower Bike Man.
This is the first exhibition of Warren Gregory the Flower Bike Man. He has moved his flower bikes to the West district especially for FlowerPower West. ‘Love is the cure’ is the message he wants to convey with his flower bikes.
Warren Gregory first made a flower bike for his wife. She suffered from epilepsy and poor short-term memory, so she kept forgetting where she had parked her bike. Warren Gregory decorated her bike with flowers. After that she never lost her bike again.
The flower bikes brighten up bridges, streets and squares to thank residents for their patience during the work and to attract new visitors to Amsterdam West.
The route starts in De Hallen, then Kinkerstraat, Bilderdijkstraat, De Clercqstraat, Jan Evertsenstraat and Mercatorplein. The route is about 3.8 km and you can walk or cycle it. The average walking time is about 50 minutes.
The route is from January 13 to April 14, 2023.
