Location
City Stay Vienna Lugeck apartment is situated in district 1, the Innere Stadt, which translates to ‘inner city’. Located in the bustling heart of historic Vienna, it serves as the perfect base for exploring the city. It not only offers comfortable accommodation but also provides direct access to the most iconic sights.
Vienna, a cultural city with imperial allure, spans across 23 districts, each with its own characteristic charm. The first district of Vienna is the Innere Stadt. Until 1850, Vienna consisted solely of the first district until the adjacent communities were incorporated. The Innere Stadt is the only district where you’ll find medieval streets and squares, as residential development beyond the city walls only began after the 15th century.
The Ringstraße is a circular boulevard that surrounds the Innere Stadt, where the old city wall from the 13th century once stood. The liveliest streets, attractions, landmarks, and historic buildings such as the Hofburg and Rathaus can be found on and within the Ringstraße, predominantly in the districts closest to the city center.

The Apartment
City Stay Vienna Lugeck, our apartment at Sonnenfelsgasse 7, is located on the sixth floor of an imposing salmon-colored building, accessible by elevator or stairs. The building access is secure and convenient, thanks to the personal code entry system. Our stay is situated at the quiet rear of the property.
City Stay Vienna Lugeck does not have an on-site reception. The only staff you may encounter are the cleaners, in case you arrive before check-in time. Although it’s not possible to enter the apartment, you can leave your luggage in the room.
The Interior
The apartment is contemporary and tastefully decorated with vibrant, fresh green hues and black accents for a modern look. It consists of a room with a spacious double bed, a cozy dining area, an open kitchen, a balcony, and a bathroom with a rain shower and toilet.
The Balcony
Although based on the pictures on the website, I had expected a balcony with a view of the charming street, in reality, we overlooked a courtyard at the back of the building. Despite this, the balcony is a delightful place to unwind. Enjoying the silence around you while sipping a warm cup of tea accompanied by a sweet krapfen (Viennese doughnut) is a true treat. Rising early in the morning and stretching on the balcony feels like an invigorating start to the day.
If you prefer to book an apartment with a balcony overlooking the street, it’s important to pay attention to its location at the front of the building.
The Kitchen
In the apartment, you have a well-equipped kitchen at your disposal. With a stove, electric cooktop, kettle, coffee maker, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave, you have all the tools you need. Although we didn’t cook ourselves, our refrigerator was well-stocked with a variety of beverages, snacks, treats, and fresh fruit. The Spar supermarket is just a few streets away, making it easy to do groceries.
Wifi
The apartment has a good wifi connection, allowing you to stay connected effortlessly during your stay.

City Stay Vienna Lugeck apartment is located in a wonderful neighborhood that is perfect for culinary indulgence. Within walking distance of the apartment, you’ll find numerous dining options.

In the same street, Sonnenfelsgasse 3, you’ll find Zwölf Apostelkeller restaurant, where you can savor a variety of authentic Viennese dishes based on age-old recipes, all in a charming historic ambiance dating back to 1339. - Figlmüller.
Another culinary gem is located at Backerstraße 6, parallel to our street. Restaurant Figlmüller is the home of the renowned Wiener Schnitzel. The classically prepared veal schnitzel is an essential item on the menu. Alternatively, you can also enjoy a plant-based Wiener Schnitzel made from pea protein, served with a fresh green salad.
