Have you ever slept in a harbor crane? This is truly a unique experience that you must experience once!
The ‘YAYS Crane apartment’ is a harbor crane that was built in 1957 on the industrial estate of the KNSM island in Amsterdam, located on the river IJ. https://yays.com
The harbor crane has been converted into a luxury apartment with a beautiful view of the water. The harbor crane and surroundings have retained their industrial character, while the interior has a modern look with a homely atmosphere. A lovely place where you should definitely stay.
The Crane apartment looks like a tiny house where you have a cosy living room with couches and a flatscreen tv. Next to the living room is a fully equiped kitchen. The interior of the Crane apartment is beautifully designed by the famous Dutch designer Edward van Vliet.
We had the feeling that we could live here, if this was our own little house. The Crane by YAYS is ideal for couples and single travelers looking for an urban adventure, while staying in a designer apartment with awesome views.
On the second floor of the ‘YAYS Crane apartment’ is a bedroom with a double bed, but if you walk out through the side door and climb the steep stairs, you first have an amazing view of the KNSM island, but secondly you will discover the true gem of the Crane: A real penthouse with a double bed and a beautiful large window with a view of the harbour. A photoshoot-worthy place where many visitors have taken a snapshot. Don’t be afraid if you have to go to the toilet in the middle of the night, because it is also available in the penthouse.
